Privacy policy

Colorado Krav Maga · Effective October 9, 2026

This privacy policy explains how Colorado Krav Maga ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Colorado Krav Maga app.

Information we collect

  • Account details. Your first and last name, preferred name (optional), email address, phone number, birth date, and home location.
  • Children. For a child whose profile a parent manages: the child's name and birth date.
  • Training records. Classes you attend, including check-ins sent to us by Spark, our membership system; the techniques practiced in those classes; your belt; test grades, results, and instructor feedback; youth stripes and certificates; and your progress through video courses.
  • Staff records, for instructors and staff only: hours worked, pay type (hourly or salaried, never pay rates), instructor level, and certifications.
  • Security logs. A record of who viewed or changed sensitive information, such as test results, contact details, and staff hours.

We don't collect your physical address, payment card details, or your device's location.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

  • Children under 13 never get their own login. A parent or legal guardian accepts the invite for the child and manages the child's profile. We collect a child's information only with that parent's consent, given when they accept the invite.
  • Teens aged 13 to 17 may have their own login, linked to a parent's account.
  • Parental rights. Parents and guardians can review the information collected about their child, ask us to delete it, and refuse further collection or use of it.
  • How we use it. Information about minors is used only for our own operations, safety, and program administration. We do not sell it, and we do not market directly to minors.

How we use your information

  • Create, secure, and sign you in to your account.
  • Record attendance and show your progress toward your next belt.
  • Run belt tests and share your test results with you, or with a parent for a child.
  • Keep staff time cards accurate for payroll.
  • Email you about your account, test results, and updates to the app.
  • Check age requirements for programs and seminars.

Inside Colorado Krav Maga, each person sees only what their role and location need, and views of sensitive records are logged.

Data sharing and security

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the app:

  • Supabase: the app's database and sign-in.
  • Cloudflare: hosting the app and streaming some videos.
  • Resend: sending the app's emails.
  • Spark: our membership system, which tells the app about check-ins and new members.
  • Vimeo and YouTube: some technique videos play from them.

The app takes no payments and stores no card details. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

How long we keep it

  • We keep your information while you're an active member and for up to one year after your membership ends. Then we delete it.
  • Check-in data received from Spark is deleted after 90 days.
  • We keep longer only what the law requires, such as staff payroll records.

Your rights

Any member, or a parent or guardian for their child, can ask for a copy of their information or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below. We'll keep only what the law requires us to.
